Privacy policy

What this site collects, and what it does not.

Information we collect

This site is an editorial publication. It has no account system, no login for readers, and no forms that ask for personal information. We do not collect your name, address, date of birth, health information, or any other detail you would put on an insurance application, because there is nowhere on this site to enter one.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp — as part of delivering and securing the site.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are read. Where analytics are enabled, they are used in aggregate to improve the site, not to build a profile of you or to target advertising at you.

Cookies

The public pages of this site do not set advertising or tracking cookies. A session cookie is used for the private administrative area, which is only accessible to our own editorial staff.

Links to other sites

When you follow a link to an insurer or an advertising network, you leave this site and that company’s privacy policy applies. Some of those links are affiliate links, which means the destination may record that the visit came from us. We do not pass any personal information to them, because we do not hold any.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information a business holds about you. If you want to exercise those rights, email editorial@bestfinalexpense.com. In most cases our answer will be that we hold nothing about you beyond server logs.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted on this page.
